Volunteering for Sustainable Communities

Call us
At Taulov Storage Company, we recognize our responsibility to contribute to the sustainable development of the communities in which we operate. Through the Taulov WeConnect program, we actively support volunteering initiatives that empower young people and foster a more sustainable environment for future generations.

Our Commitment

We believe that investing in young people is essential for building resilient and prosperous communities. Taulov WeConnect provides opportunities for youth to broaden their perspectives, discover new pathways to personal and professional growth, and experience the value of collaboration across cultures, languages, and social backgrounds.

At the same time, we are committed to advancing sustainability in the communities surrounding our facilities. By supporting targeted initiatives, we aim to align community development with the priorities outlined in our sustainability roadmap.

The program primarily supports projects and events that:

Enable young people (ages 10–24) to develop skills, confidence, and opportunities for a sustainable and healthy future.

Encourage cooperation and mutual understanding among young people from diverse backgrounds.

Contribute to the long-term sustainability of our communities.

For 2024–2025, Taulov WeConnect will give priority to initiatives aligned with the following themes of our sustainability strategy:

Nature & Biodiversity

Innovation, New Energies, and Sustainable Feedstocks

Inclusion & Diversity

Partnerships and Implementation

All projects are initiated by Taulov Storage Company employees or joint venture partners and are executed with their active involvement. Proposals from external parties are not considered.

We place strong emphasis on collaboration with reputable local partners, including governmental and non-governmental organizations. Through Taulov WeConnect, our employees are encouraged and supported—both with guidance and financial resources—in developing and implementing impactful initiatives that make a tangible difference for young people and the environment.
Global partnerships pilot
Taulov WeConnect has launched a pilot program in collaboration with SpaceBuzz, a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring environmental stewardship among young people. Co-founded by Dutch astronaut André Kuipers, SpaceBuzz aims to create 100 million ambassadors for the planet by recreating the so-called overview effect—the profound perspective shift astronauts experience when viewing Earth from space.
As part of this partnership, Taulov WeConnect co-funded the development of a rocket-shaped vehicle equipped with virtual and augmented reality technologies, enabling an immersive space journey experience. In addition to the physical experience, SpaceBuzz has developed an online educational program consisting of 12 interactive lessons focused on STEM education (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and raising environmental awareness.
